Painting in Tunisia

The Sahara Locations: 10-24 October 2010

Visit the south of Tunisia with spectacular landscapes and breathtaking scenery. After spending your first night in the resort of Hammamet you are transported to the Roman Amphitheatre of El Djem for some sketching and then to the Troglodyte village of Matmata for your overnight stay. After painting at Matmata you travel to Douz, gateway town to the Sahara, where you will spend 6 nights to experience the magic of the sights and sounds of the Sahara desert. The remaining 6 nights are spent in the Berber Village of Tataouine from where we have a full programme of interesting visits in the land of the Ghorfas.

This two week painting holiday to Southern Tunisia takes you to unspoilt places and away from mass tourism.

The holiday departs on Sunday 10th October and includes:

• Return scheduled flights from London Heathrow Airport to Tunis and airport taxes
• Resort transfers
• 1 night at the Hotel Aziza Thalasso Golf in Hammamet on bed and breakfast basis
• 1 night at the Hotel Diar El Barbar in Matmata on half board basis
• 6 nights at the Hotel El Mouradi in Douz on half board basis
• 6 nights at the Hotel Sangho Previlege in Tataouine on half board basis
• Tuition by Muriel Owen
• All painting outings by coach with English speaking guides.

The price of this great painting holiday is £1479 per person based on two people sharing a twin bedded room. Rooms for sole occupancy are available at a supplement of £169 per person.

If you are a non-painter then you will receive a reduction of £90 from the price above, provided that you are travelling with a painter.

Travel Insurance:

It is essential that you travel with some form of travel insurance. If you have not arranged travel insurance then Tunisia First can arrange insurance through Holiday Extras from just £24.50 per person – please note age and pre-existing medical conditions apply. Making a Booking:

To make a booking please complete the booking form and return with a non-refundable deposit of £120 per person together with the insurance premium if required to the address at the top of the booking form. Please make cheques payable to Tunisia First. Final balance is due 8 weeks prior to departure date. Please take your time to read the booking conditions.
